¡Video! Iguazu Falls

Panorama of Iguazu Falls

Panorama of the Devil's Throat, Iguazu Falls

Up close and personal with the waterfalls!

Iguazu Falls – Argentina

We met a German backpacker in Puerto Iguazu who was on his way from Argentina to Brazil, and despite being right there, he wasn't sure if he could be bothered to see the waterfalls because he had seen plenty of waterfalls before. We were not quite sure what to expect either, but we have never seen anything quite like this! The scale is overwhelming. The thunderous crash of thousands of litres of water falling over the edge in front of your eyes is truly awesome.
The Argentinean side of the falls gives you access to several walking trails with different view points, and allows you to get up close and personal with the water, including going under the falls in a speed boat!
Overall the whole experience was amazing! Iguazu Falls is one of the new seven wonders of the world for a reason!

Iguazu Falls – Brazil

Both Brazilians and Argentineans will argue that their side of the falls is better (the river is the border between the two countries), so we thought we would check out both. The Brazilian side of the falls has a nice walk with an amazing panoramic view and a platform that lets you look over the edge of the falls facing the Garganta del Diablo (Devil's Throat). So before we crossed the border back in to Argentina we spent an afternoon on the Brazilian side and watched the sun set with little coatis (animals like raccoons).

Even though we took loads of photos, they don't really do it justice. We took a few videos as well so you can get a sense of how massive it was, which we will post separately. To be honest, you have to go there to appreciate it.
